on my work table today:

an inchworm mini-bowl with one paint color applied and drying

a paper template for a mini bowl
an unfinished glass mosaic on a reclaimed window

inchworm mini-bowls

I wanted to blog about this new item in my shop, but it’s already sold out! I’ll put the photos up anyway because I like this design a lot. A few weeks back I promised a design based on inch worms, and here’s what came out — my set of two inch worm mini-bowls in mustard yellow, eggshell blue and two shades of gray.

chartres necklace

I was inspired by gothic architectural detail this week. This is a swishy two-part necklace named after Chartres cathedral, the quintessential gothic cathedral. It’s now available in my etsy shop.

fox & clover on modish

I’ve long been a fan of the design blog Modish. So it was a great honor to get a message Modish author Jena saying she’s featuring my work in her blog today! Thank you so much for noticing my work!

A few other blogs have also featured my work recently and deserve big thank yous too, including The Laquered Peacock, Grey Likes Weddings, Poodlebreath & The Long Thread. As you well know already, it’s such a help to us independent crafters to have people pass on a good word when they like our work. Thank you!!

narwhal plate

A few posts ago I mentioned that I was had seen a BBC video showing narwhals in the wild, and was inspired to make a narwhal design. Here is the result. I’m quite fond of it — it’s my first design with multicolored ornamentation.

If you like it, you can purchase it in my shop.

I’m pleased to announce that my work will soon be in the Poppytalk Handmade Shop, a gorgeous online market of handmade goods. I admire many of the artists who are already in the showcase, including Dolan Geiman, Yellena, Matte Stephens & Resurrection Fern, to name a few. I’m so honored to show alongside them!

My work will be up for Eco Month, beginning March 16th, highlighting recycled / reused / earth-friendly products. I’ll be showing my recycled glass necklaces and dishware.

fox & clover gets interviewed

fox & clover interview in hadley gets crafty

I’ve got some overdue thanks to send out. Back in January, during the middle of my move to Seattle, Hadley of the blog Hadley Gets Crafty interviewed me for her craft & design blog. This is the first time I had been interviewed about my work and it was a lot of fun. She asks about my background as an artist, the “eco” aspect of my work, my inspirations. You can read it for yourself here.

So many thanks to Hadley. Hope you’re keeping warm in Chicago!

Also, just a couple days ago my work was featured in a Seattle fashion and design blog called Simple Pretty Little Things (below). The blog’s author Courtney is now the first person to officially deem me a “Seattle artist”! Cool, I’m local now. Many thanks for noticing my work!

ponderosa pine necklace

A few months ago I sketched several varieties of trees. I particularly liked the Ponderosa Pine, so I turned it into this new necklace. If you like it you can find it in my shop.

back from the renegade fair

I’m back from the Renegade Fair in Chicago. It was a blast. I was amongst some truly talented craftspeople. Here’s a show-and-tell of my pictures from the show:

The preparation: This is my studio two days before I left to Chicago. I’d been working nonstop for weeks and my worktable was a mess.

I made a new booth sign with jumbo letters. I like the negative space they left behind in the big sheet of cardboard.

My booth was located in the lovely auditorium, with an arched fresco on the wall.
